Charity Golf Tournament a Success!
On June 24, 2012, Stettler Health Services Foundation and Heartland Victim Services teamed together to present a Charity Golf Tournament, raising funds to enhance the community. Approximately $7000.00 was raised through the tournament, with the funds being equally distributed between the two organizations.
63 golfers took part in the tournament, braving the somewhat unsettling weather without complaint. After a great 18 holes of best ball, participants enjoyed a roast beef dinner with all the trimmings. A variety of hole prizes were given away to golfers, including a basket of fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, pickles and salsa taken home by the putting contest winner.
